If you spend any time in our projects, you'll notice a theme: I can't resist a good tile or a characterful rug. Pattern and texture are where a room finds its personality.
I often start a scheme from a single hand-knotted rug or a run of tile, and let the palette grow outward from there. The colors are already in conversation — my job is to build the room around them.
Texture keeps a neutral space from feeling flat, and pattern gives the eye somewhere to rest and wander. Used with restraint, they read as soulful rather than busy.
It's the difference between a room that looks decorated and one that feels genuinely lived in — and the second is always the goal.
